It is hardly a surprise that the Royal Navy chose to train their naval cadets here, later purchasing land from the Raleigh Estate to build the magificent Naval College high above the river.
Located just upstream from the port of Dartmouth is Old Mill Creek where the Raleigh Estate has a number of safe and accessible moorings available to rent.
These moorings are within easy reach of Dartmouth, Kingswear & Dittisham and are in a sheltered location less than a mile from the sea.
Lying to the North of Britannia Royal Naval College, Old Mill Creek is a haven for wildlife including many types of birds.
A variety of mooring options are available including island-pontoon moorings, swinging moorings, trot moorings and deepwater moorings.
A limited number of beach moorings are also available.
