Camping on the Raleigh Estate 
We have a number of beautifully located sites suitable for camping on the Raleigh Estate available for a strictly limited period each year.
 
These are small, basic sites in lovely locations and we offer them on an exclusive basis - i.e. your party will be the only people using the site.
 
NB. These are wonderful, peaceful places to camp but they are basic and fairly remote.  There is no vehicular access to these sites.  You will need to be able walk to and from them (max distance 1 mile).  However we are able to transport all your kit for you in our 4x4 if required.
 

You should probably only consider camping here if you can be relatively self-sufficient and really want a wild camping experience.

 

Activities

We can organise bushcraft sessions and guided canoe adventures on the River Dart - please ask for details.

What you get

  • Exclusive use of a woodland or waterside camping site.
  • All your kit transported to your campsite if required.
  • Water for washing, drinking and cooking supplied (in a jerrycan).

What you don't get

  • We offer a wild camping experience so you won't be able to drive your car to your campsite.
  • Washing facilities.
  • Flushing toilet.
  • Camp shop, playground, swimming pool or any facilities.
  • Crowds, noise and other campers.

 

Price

Exclusive use of campsite including transport of kit if required

- Up to 5 people - £20 per night

- Over 5 and up to 10 people - £40 per night

- Over 10 and up to 20 people - £60 per night

 

Extras

 - Bagged firewood at £5 a bag

 - We can supply large teepee tents capable of sleeping up to 10 people each for £40 per night

 - We can also organise bushcraft sessions and guided canoe adventures on the River Dart - please ask for details.

Here are some top tips for camping with us:
  • Keep your group small to lessen the impact on the environment - The maximum group size we allow is 20 people
  • Leave your camp as you found it
  • Remove all litter (even other people's)
  • Carry out everything you carried in
  • Carry out tampons and sanitary towels (burying them doesn't work as animals dig them up again)
  • At all times, help preserve the environment
  • And if you are in any doubt about what you're doing, ask us.
