Walking
The Raleigh Estate is criss-crossed with many footpaths, bridleways and green lanes. In addition to these historic rights of way the estate has also opened up a number of permissive footpaths, notably in Sandquay Woods and along the path of the Dart Valley Trail to allow visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Walkers are respectfully asked to keep to the designated footpaths and treat this sensitive area with the care and respect it deserves.

Camping
Wild camping is expressly forbidden on the Raleigh Estate, particularly as much of the land is environmentally sensitive. With prior permission the estate will allow organised groups (such as schools or charities) to camp in designated locations.
Shooting
During the winter months the Raleigh Shoot meets every Saturday. This is a small-rough shoot which aims to balance this traditional sport with the ongoing envirnmental management of the countryside and woodland of the estate.
Fishing
Although not part of the estate South West Water have a reservoir within the boundaries of the estate where fishing is permitted. Click here for more details
Horse Riding
The main Dart Valley Trail route which runs through the estate is a designated bridleway and makes for a relatively easy-going ride.
Running
If you don't mind running up big hills there are a number of running routes around the footpaths of the estate. There's a great circular route from the head of Old Mill Creek which follows the permissive footpath to above Bozomzeal and then back again via the main Dart Valley Trail route.
Cycling
There are very few footpaths on the estate with hard surfaces but if you have a mountain-bike there are a variety of good routes you can utilise on the various bridlepaths and green lanes. Please respect other users of these lanes and try not to cut up the lane surfaces by braking excessively
